A (Very) Long Walk on the Beach

Here at Fort Walton Beach, Florida, access to over 16 beaches are merely minutes away. You would think that being a destination spot, these beaches would be overcrowded, dirty and the parking lots filled to capacity- but its quite the opposite. The beaches are well maintained, with a few pieces of trash here and there; the sand is white and feels like powder beneath your feet.

I took this opportunity to improve on my amateur photography skills. Photography at the beach has always appealed to me- all the beach photos on Pinterest just seemed so beautiful and effortless. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me or for my boyfriend. It took us a while to really adjust to taking photos in bright sunlight, as well as learning to pose without feeling silly. We knew that the most important factor in taking a great photo was to have fun- which is what we did. We walked for over 3 miles, in beach sand I might add, without even realizing it. In the end, I am happy with the results that we got: good photos and burning calves.

My awesome photographer/model

Testing out the camera.

Are my calves showing?

The last photo of the day. By now I was burnt, but I had to rep that UF pride by Tebowing on the rocks. This one is for my little Joyce!
