Will the Real Peppa Pig Please Stand Up

For those who don't have a toddler or young child in their house, the latest popular children's program is called Peppa Pig, which is, you guessed it, about a pig named Peppa. Kaylie has been obsessing with this show for several months now and when we found out that Peppa would be making an appearance at our local mall, we knew we had to go see her.

Stalking on the facebook page, I realized that A LOT more people knew about this show than I thought. On top of that, Peppa's appearance coincided with tax free weekend. I had planned to arrive a little before 2pm, which was when the character was supposed to show up.

Sure enough, at 1:40pm, there was already a long line, so long that they eventually ended up making two lines. There were children screaming and yelling because they were so excited, and weary parents trying to control their children. I stood in line while Kaylie sat on the couches with Karen; I feared that by the time we reached Peppa, Kaylie would have been too exhausted to even take a photo with her.

After 2 hours and 15 minutes, we finally reached Peppa... and 10 seconds later, it was over. She had gotten her photos, a hug and a high five from Peppa. We waited TWO HOURS for 10 seconds, my legs were tired and my back hurt, but it was all worth it to see Kaylie so happy and excited to see her favorite cartoon character come to life.
